Download EFT Helper

One installer, about 70 MB, installs per user with no admin prompt. It updates itself in one click from then on.

Sixty seconds, no admin

01

Download

EFTHelperSetup.exe. No Python, no dependencies, FFmpeg for the recorder is bundled.

02

Run it

Windows SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC" because the app isn't code-signed. Click More info, then Run anyway.

03

Set Tarkov to borderless

Settings → Graphics → Screen mode → Borderless. Exclusive fullscreen resets gamma and hides overlays.

04

Find the reticle

The app lives in the tray (gold reticle by the clock). Double-click to open. Press F10 in a raid for quick search.

Antivirus note: some AV products false-flag unsigned Python apps built with PyInstaller. The installer and the exe are the same files every time; if yours objects, allow the EFTHelper folder under your local app data and it stops.
// Requirements

What it needs

The app itself is light: a WebView2 window that parks while the game has focus. The recorder is the one feature with a hardware requirement.

// First launch

What happens the first time

1

Game data downloads

Items, quests, hideout, bosses and maps from tarkov.dev, cached on disk so the app works offline afterwards. A minute on a normal connection.

2

Your raid history appears

The log tailer reads every Tarkov log folder still on disk and fills the Raids, Squad and Flea log pages. Nothing is sent anywhere.

3

A short tour

Presets, hotkeys, the overlay and quick search. Turn the recorder on from the App page when you want video.

// FAQ

Install questions

How do updates work?

The app checks a version file on launch. When there is a new version, one click downloads the installer and runs it; your presets, hotkeys, favourites and history are kept.

Where does it put things?

The program under your local app data (Programs\EFTHelper), settings and caches under %APPDATA%\EFTHelper, recordings under Videos\EFT Helper.

How do I uninstall?

Add or remove programs, like any Windows app. Your recordings stay; delete Videos\EFT Helper yourself if you want them gone.

Can I move my setup to another PC?

Yes. The App page exports presets, hotkeys, favourites and quest progress to one file, and imports it on the new machine.
